Dr. Christopher Dowding is the Medical Director of NORDA SKIN, where he provides clinical oversight to ensure all patients receive care that meets established medical standards and are appropriately assessed for suitability prior to undergoing aesthetic treatments. His approach is grounded in patient safety, ethical practice, and evidence-informed decision-making.Originally from Scarborough, Ontario, Dr. Dowding completed his undergraduate degree at McMaster University (Honours Bachelor of Arts & Science Combined with Biology) before attending medical school at Western University. He subsequently completed his Orthopedic Surgery residency at the University of Ottawa, followed by two orthopedic fellowships: an Adult Hip and Knee Reconstruction fellowship in Ottawa and a Lower Extremity Reconstruction fellowship in Toronto. These advanced surgical trainings have provided him with extensive expertise in anatomy, tissue biology, and procedural precision.Dr. Dowding is a certified specialist of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and practices in North Bay as an orthopedic surgeon. His clinical work focuses on primary and revision hip and knee arthroplasty, as well as knee arthroscopy, with an emphasis on restoring function and improving quality of life through thoughtful, patient-centered care.Through his medical aesthetics training and mentorship with THMA Consulting Inc., Dr. Dowding has developed a strong clinical foundation that supports safe, evidence-informed, and ethical aesthetic care at NORDA SKIN.
